Being religious doesn't necessarily mean you're truly spiritual. I see so many people out there arguing about their religion/faith being truer than other's and so on...what's the point?? Do you just self-righteously follow your religion by rote, blindly, or do you truly seek divine love in your heart? Do you truly love your brothers and sisters, or do you judge them based on their religion?

Spritual, after having been religious. I realized I couldn't in good conscience accept the dogma. Now I look for truth and light wherever they're to be found. I think adherence to dogma is a great evil... we're all limited; if we're honest, we all know we don't have the whole truth, and persecuting/criticizing others is a way to hide our insecurity and ignorance from ourselves. We shouldn't shy away from calling evil things evil -- for example, elements of violence and oppression in any religion -- but we should be open to what's good everywhere.

Unfortunately just like in the middle ages. There are too many templars and zealots using the name of God but not having a relationship with him. Those are the vocal ones that give God a bad name. Romans 2:24 says "God's name is blasphemed among the gentiles because of you." Those are the ones who people remember. unfortunately its not the ones who are in the trenches serving at soup kitchens and taking in the elderly that get any attention. But take heart because youll see the true difference between the goats and the sheep by their love for others.

Religion is conforming to others ideas and being truly spiritual is the art of "Being". To be is not allowing the outside world to be a part of emotions. Very difficult but worthy of becoming a part of.

I feel that I am more spiritual, than religious. I try to live that way. Loving everybody. Even if I don't understand them. But I think that's the point. To be different. But love everyone.
