if there is an imballance there is probably a rift in the relationship.....either do less for them and more things for yourself or find a new partner

That's part of being in a relationship, so of coarse we do things to make our partners happy! But there is a limit, I mean if it's going to make you very unhappy because it's not something you really want to do then you should express it to you partner so they know how you feel and maybe come to some sort of compromise on it.

The entire reason we are in a relationship is to make the other person happy. Otherwise, why bother? He gives 100% and I give 100% so we're both very happy.

I think everyone does things to make their partner happy. I dont necessarily like desserts but I know my BF or six years does and sometimes just because I would make him a tasty treat. Also I dont like his parents but I try to be nice to them when ever they visit. I also watch football with him to make him happy. BUT I know he does things for me that make me happy. Like watch chick flicks etc.

All couples, married, just "shacking up" or just dating, are always doing things to make the other one happy. IF you want to be happy what better way is there than making your "other half" happy.

if peeps do this it means they dont love their partner like they shud. they just taking the easy option. doesnt work in the long run bin there, done it. got the t-shirt.

sometimes i do, but i know i shouldn't. he should Love me for things i do for myself, not just to make him happy. but sometimes people are so desperate for a partner or they love them soooo much they can't help it.

i do things to make him happy all the time..i have to be careful if i talk to another guy as a friend cuz he gets very jealous and is very protective of me but i like it..i think its cute
