If I am walking to my car and you yell out your window, of course I am going I'm not going to be into you. Being rejected has nothing to do with not wanting to go out with somebody.

How would you feel when someone you really loved left you or rejected? Of course it would hurt you! You need time to recover or to forget and move on. And when the time comes you would realize that he/she still has a place in your heart even though you don't have the same feeling as it was before...

The guy could really be in love with you and not want to go with someone else. Even if he isn't that crazy about you, the rejection probably damaged his self-esteem because you don't see him as a desirable guy to be with.

It is human instinct that when people get frustrated or disppointed for failing to get what they wanted, they get hurt and feel upset. Understand it is not easy to let go and move on specially when someone they adored dearly dumped them.

women can be the same way too. but i have encountered that from a few men in the past. its amazing how sensitive we can be (both men and women)
