my daughter is eleven years old and she wants a "cool" outfit. i am not living in the "cool kids" age right now watever the heck that means cuz thats wat she said, so can anyone here tell me a cool outfit?

Mine is 11 too and she is looking for stuff for her 'cool' pop star costume.
We are actually going to reuse parts from last years leopard costume because it still fits and we now live in an enitrely new state from last year. The costume we bought from a party city store was pants and top with the shoulders open in the animal print. We added the music headset are looking for hair add ons for a 'cool' hairstyle and will find some funky shoes/boots for her to wear and glam accesories with far out glam makeup.
A few girls in her school are going as pop singers, some witches, a few more as Dorthy, Movie stars, Narnia characters, etc.
This year is that transition stage I think part kid- but wants to not have something that looks like everyone else so we are personalizing as much as we can to be different but still 'cool'.

Why don't you just ask her what her idea is of "cool"? What type of costume to her is "cool"? A funny kind? A cute kind? Is it "cool" this year to kids her age to be really really scary? or reall disgusting and bloody? Or maybe it is "cool" to them to have a funny costume? Like you I am older than "now a days" cool kids, but, I remeber back when I was in school, to some kids, "cool" was something different to other kids ideas of "cool".

well if you are not sure, i would take her to the costume store and have her pick out an outfit she thinks is "cool" as an 11 year old, i wanted to be things like a witch or faeire, but my mother would always say that the outfits i wanted were to "showy" and i was mad at her for that, i am not saying to let your daughter dress very "showy" but give her a little freedom when picking it out

When my son was younger we had different ideas of what cool was. Now that he is older, I wish that I could just ask him...what would you lik e to be for halloween and then go out and make sure I got the outfit for him. Ask her and get her what she wants. They are only young once.

Well a couple of things that are really popular now are pirate costumes, Vampire costumes are also good choices as well as witches. Check out some of the costumes at local retailers. Find out what she wants.

At 11 years old, she already has an idea of what she thinks is "cool" or she wouldn't have said it. Tell her your not a mind reader and she needs to inlighten you on what "cool" means to her. Let her use some brain power and communicate what she is trying to say.

What would be incredibly cool is to dress her like one of the Bratz. They are on Saturday morning. Right now Wal*Mart has all sizes of Bratz dolls. Check them out for ideas!

well sexy is hot and i am not one to say that an 11 year old should be dressing sexy. how about a witch modern. you know a cute black dress knee high black and red stripes. a hat with a lacy brim. nothing to sexy but cool just the same. good luck.

Get a lether hat,jacket,boots, and a awsome necklace to go with it I would advise a wig pinkor blue even green. She could be a biker girl

I'm 14 and when i was 11 i was a goth. i thought it was cool cause i got to dye my hair, wear eyeliner, and go with my friends. oh yeah if you dye for hair for Halloween make sure it's washable. straight up.
