Just a thought.

abram bore two sons,
ishmael- Gen 16 1-15 His decendants wrote and follow the quran.
isaac- Gen 21 1-21 his decendants wrote and follow the bible.
You dont know the truth, untill youve heard both sides to the story.

Good question.

I do this because I know that only the One And Many Great God is perfect and that nothing of this world is. Rather they be Prophets or books inspired by God; nothing but God is infallible. So it is that I seek the spirit in all matters, except when I'm being an idiot. :)

The whole of God's truth cannot be held in the hand.

That was a huge overstatement. A very small number of both of their descendants wrote the books of the Bible and Quran, at their time none of the current books had been written. It was not until after the Israelites moved to Egypt that the sons of Esau and Ishmael began to completely turn from God. The Gibeonites were one tribe that served the lord.

The words and meanings in the bible stand on their own, they do not come from our own conclusions. Just as the truth cannot be made from our own imaginations, the truth, is the truth and it is not made true by ones own interpretations. One cannot wish away gravity because you do not like it. The central message of the bible are clear to most people. Some of the same people in the bible are listed in the Quran. We must search for the truth, the point is, we must know when we are seeing the truth, or a lie. The truth does not come from our vain imaginations.

I believe there are many more sides to the story than just two. Atheists and Christians have so polarized the questions of God that many people forget that there are more options out there. In any case, the quran is just a bad rewrite of the Bible, which is a two book set, the Jewish Scripture, currently known by "The Old Testament," and the sequel, "The New Testament," both panned and raved by many.

Yes, I have read it and think about it more and more these days. The myths we create to people our world view converge upon us.
