first you must obey His word (Acts 2:38 is salvation)

remember God is Love (1John 4:16) so to say I don't go on emotion would be a lie. but it is not emotion alone.

you will never know the love peace and joy of the Holy Ghost until you receive it for yourself, and it just get better after that.

remember Mark 12:29-30
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

1.Feelings are like anestisia, it temporarily nums the pain. But when the anestisia where's off the pain comes back and is possible worst than it was

2.This is why we nee truth, becuase truth knows what the the problem is,know how to fix it,and does fix it permenently; not just temporarily like feelings. This is why we need God(Jesus Christ), becuase he will tell us the truth and help us perminently fix the problem
If a child says 2+2=6, then dont lie to him and make him feel good about 2+2=6, tell him the truth so that his mistake will be corrected and he properly learns 2+2=4. That's unfortunately what society is doing today; is there's thing that people are doing wrong and that go against God's word; but instead of correcting the problem people have decided to make them feel good about it, which is not good.

3.Again when I knew the truth that their is a God that loves me and cares about me. And would forgive me if I asked for forgiveness

John 3:16-For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

feelings are the caboose. They are a guide, but they can not stand alone. Experience is tied somewhat to feelings but it is not altogether by itself. If that is what all experience was then we would be swayed by every wind of emotions that came our way, this is childish, and selfish motivation when feelings are the rule. We establish experience on patterns of behavior. Thus for example we know God acts in a ceartain and specific way, and we also know that he cannot act out of character, for He is immutable: unchanging. So we can know that what He says is true. We believe! We rest in that belief system which is part experience and part doctrine both go hand in hand and doctrine is living and livable else it is leaglistic in its approach. We live our doctrine, or we compromise it. We can't have it both ways. We either live up to it, or we disprove it by our actions. There are somedays when we feel good about our relationship with God, and somedays when we dont feel any thing at all, this is those times when faith takes stronger hold on our lives to get us through the rough spots in our experience. God has not changed, and since He has not we can rest assured that what we have committed against that day He will be faithful. If we are unfaithful, he can not be, so we decieve ourselves. We must therefore remain faithful to the very end.

Feelings are good, but they are not the rule, the exception or the whole tenor of life. Follow them let them be your guide and you will walk into error and gross sins.

Tough question. I think there was a time after I had been seeking for God for a while, but not really willing to really follow him. I think the "light came on" as you say, the time when I decided to to forget all the worries I had about what others might think (was a teen at the time), and obey what I knew in my heart was really true.
There have been some ups and downs since then, but things have never been the same since.

Everything in the universe is of God. Freewill allows for the negative events in our world, yet God turns even these rejection of His Mercy into the unison of His universal Love.

To describe Love is to Ultimately describe God Himself. God has always been present in my life. At Church, in my family, in my mind, in my heart. God is that reassurance that I was / am never alone. God is there, do not be afraid.

I wish I could say that a lightening bolt blazed across the sky and struck directly into my heart, where I passed out and had a beautic vision and conversion with the Savior my High. But, this is not how it is with me.

God is present in the turmoil of my life, the quiet of my heart, the joy of my life, and most profoundly in the deepest sadness of my life journey.

God is there, be not afraid. God is Love.

Feelings and mood change, but God's promises never. We can trust Him for your eternal future. Of course, God also moves human hearts through Holy Spirit.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

God came to me when I was 13 and asked if I was ready. I was scared and said no. He left and then I started sinning greatly and years later I had a near death accident and asked God why was I spared, do you love me that much? He said with boldness, YES. From there on it clicked and I have been on fire for Jesus ever since. About 6 or 7 years now.

For me it all seem to start at four years old, at that age I knew God was God, I felt it.
Most of my life, I found it hard to learn from the Bible, so God teach me through experiences, perhaps that's the reason I am open to the many ways God communicates, and the reason why I can feel him in and near, because no one else care, so he took compassion on me, like a Father should. God has stood by me all my life, waiting for me to open fully, help me to release all my resentment that kept all my feelings from expressing. God has prepared me.... Lord I am ready

I feel you are correct. The only way to God is to be broken open and vulnerable. It is easier to be defensive when people make you statements. A you statement is an attacking statement. When ever some one says you did this or you said that. I can say I am sorry that you feel that way. I feel hurt when you do this or say that. It is harder to share our feelings.

When I came to Christ June 28,1982 I felt love and Jesus lived inside of me for one month. He healed people and cast out devils. I felt power move through my body. I was washed clean all over and light shot through me outward.

The very moment I "felt" if you will, the spirit come over me, I was 18 years old, and as I was looking out my parents bathroom window (of all places), it was like this gray film was removed from my eyes, and everything and everyone was beautiful. The feeling in my heart was so light, I can't describe it. I asked God to come into my life and he did, it's that simple.
