Do you know or even care that this person might be a real person?
(Personally I don't care about anyone I don't know saying things - my only point is whats the cause of strangers abuseing other strangers)

I KNOW that real people are on the other side of the internet. Do I CARE that they have feelings? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes if the person is willfully ignorant or belligerant or rude I respond in kind. Sometimes I tell people things they don't want to hear. Sometimes I give them answers that they hoped were true. That doesn't mean I don't care.
The cause of strangers abusing strangers over the internet is total anonymity. You don't have to be held accountable in any significant way for the things you say and the feelings you may possibly hurt. It's complete freedom and anarchy.

Yeah, Jim, I do. I care a lot about not hurting anyone, and I try not to but we all have our bad days. I have to visualize the people on the other end as the human beings that they are. I don't know what's going on in their lives, so the last thing I want is to cause more pain.
Likewise, I take most everything with a grain of salt. But if I'm having a pain filled day, every little word can cut like a knife. You've seen it.

I don't really think about feelings here. I don't think about them in real life. I try to be honest and always myself. That's not to say I go in it with the intent of hurting someones feelings. If I happen to hurt someones feelings, I would expect that person to tell me.
It's easier to abuse a stranger. Once you abuse them here, all you have to do is hit that x at the top of the screen and you don't have to worry about them anymore. Hit-n-runs.

"That is the most stupid question I have ever seen. You must be a real idiot!" Is how many people might answer you.
Some people are just passing time until they die, while others are trying to piss people off. And others are sincere.
Yahoo Answers is probably part of a government agency to gather information about you. There may be a group of psychologists that can tell anything about you by your answers or questions. Sure they have you ip address, etc...
So to answer your question, yes I do.

Yes, I care. I really try not to hurt anyone's feelings. Trying to answer someone else's question as if I had asked it. Waiting for answers that I might need!
