If all prophets are correct, then how come there are so many different religions? How can Jesus, Mohammed, Joseph Smith, etc. be all correct?

As well ask the "prophets" of every other religion in the world. Ask them if Mohammed was psychotic, or buddha. Somehow they maganed to get a couple of billion followers between them.

I'm pretty convinced that humans are just susceptible to the power of a good story. Biological evolution is due to "selfish genes". Religion is due to "selfish memes".

Probably a combination of all of the above. Fact is, there is not a shred of evidence to support any of the religious in the world or in the existence of any 'God'. If you think you have hard indisputable evidence to prove the existence of 'God' we would all like to see it - as would the worlds press, media, pope etc.

If they were all descendent from the same gene line then it is likely that psychosis runs in the family.
