You shouldn't hide by all means practice your belief in the open. If it offends then they are just being reminded of their own immortality. Why should you have to hide who you are? Are we back in the days of the Nazi camps? I think not. Do what you want as long as it is legal. don't worry about what people think, just go and do it. And that is how I see it.

I'm sure there's no issue with you being who you are and having your own beliefs. Unfortunatly most christians take a condesending view of people or activities that don't conform to those personal beliefs, and some express it quiet loudly and openly. That is where the issue is, the rudeness of assuming that those beliefs are the only correct beliefs, and/or the attempt to convert people to those same beliefs. You only have to look at the christian view of homosexuality to see what I mean. There are many roads to God.

People do not want to believe that they could be severely punished for their wrong doings. They know they are wrong but do not want to admit it and to be a christian they would have to admit they have sinned.
God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers.Be happy about it!be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. Matthew chp5v11-12
They also have encountered so many fake religious people who act as though they are religious to make themselves seem better than others that they just put all Christians into a box.
I read my bible at lunch at work by myself .One day a coworker saw me walking past with the bible in my hand and she just started ranting about how the bible is not true and I'm not better than any one else. All I was doing was walking past with a book. I didn't have to speak and there was a problem.
You wouldn't light a candle and hide the light . You wouldn't turn a light on at night then cover it up so why hide the light of the world that God himself wants you to shine.

Jews for Jesus is a Christian evangelistic business enterprise that focuses in specific on the conversion of Jews to Christianity. Christian Wiccans adhere to the polytheistic nature faith known as Wicca and profess theory in the instructions of Jesus. Christian Wicca is a definite denomination of the equipment of ideals known as Christo-paganism. easy factors transplanted from Wicca comprise reincarnation and fertility; besides the undeniable fact that, the foremost factors of the divinity of Jehovah, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are retained from Christianity, usually with a renewed emphasis on the latter 2. as a procedures because of the fact the Christian Muslims bypass. I have not any theory

Speaking only for me since I can't really speak for anyone else, I certainly don't mind or care where or how you practice your beliefs. What is offensive to me is people who try to push their beliefs on me and get upset if I don't respond positively to them. That probably doesn't answer your question but if you are being rejected or people are annoyed with you perhaps you need to ask yourself if you are getting in people's faces. I can and do respect people who live their faith and I expect the same courtesy.

I personally think people of all faiths should be allowed to worship as they wish. However, I get tired of being harangued by 'witnesses' to believe as they believe. I have never knocked on someones door to tell them what they should believe and I feel I deserve the same respect. I have actually been told I will "go to hell" if I don't believe that Jesus is my savior. This is not faith to me, this is harassment.

Well, your question belies itself. It seems to me that once you've wholeheartedly adopted Christianity, the scoffing and questioning of others wouldn't bother you. I mean, isn't that part of the deal?
Let not your faith be shaken... and all of that?
And, surely, you're not to be critical of those who refuse to understand or join you, I KNOW that's part of the deal.
You've got to love them and pity them, but you've got to love them! That's the WHOLE deal, there.
It seems to me that there are only two ways for you to honestly proselytize - you can either wear a little gold cross and keep you mouth shut, or you can give away all your wordly possesions, don a sackcloth, and preach endlessly and widely, as did Paul.
Anything less smacks of being a hobby.

Well, I apply my Christian principles in all areas of my life, even Yahoo Annswers. For those that feel otherwise I have a scripture that may be of inestimable value to them; "How long will you inexperienced ones keep loving inexperience, and how long must you rediculers desire for yorselves outright redicule, and how long will you stupid ones keep hating knowledge?" This is what the wises man Solomon wrote, how can anyone argur against it?

No, don't hide your faith - enjoy it celebrate it. But remember it is faith - the definition of which is believing without evidence. Don't expect those of us who do not share your beliefs to want to join in or take part or listen to theories we consider laughable.
