Nah, i don't want to do this, it's just one of those things i think about. You know, like when you look up at a chandaleir and think "wonder what would happen if i tried to swing on it?".

Yes is the simple answer to the question "could you". The more difficult one is on "how".

In order to "shock" them, you need to do or say something entirely unexpected, completely opposite to your established image, or even totally unacceptable by moral/social standards. So roughly speaking, you can think about either you want to shock them by delighting them, or to shock them by leaving a negative impact on any dimensions. That, is your decision.

If you do not care about the potential negative consequence, then it is relatively easy. The society does not expect someone to strip themselves nude in a public event, for example. The press conference does not expect someone well dressed to throw around foul languages, another example. In your good friend's wedding they do not expect someone to predict they'll eventually breakup, another example.

Now, the more challenging one is how to shock a room of people by delighting them unexpectedly. Announcing to the restaurant full of people that you'll pick up their bills, could be one example.

But by reading your words of "outrageous", I'm guessing you are not quite thinking about the "delighting them out of their expectations" scenario :)

I think it depends on where you are, but yes, in America nudity in any form seems to be the most shocking for some reason.
