Exessive sugar consumption can lead to some of these health problems:

depression
mood swings
irritability
hyperactivity
anxiety
panic attacks
mineral deficiencies
adrenal gland depletion
hypoglycemia
candida overgrowth
increased cholesterol levels
chronic fatigue

I haven't known sugar consumptoion to directly lead to blindness, but as a side affect of some of the more serious diseases such as diabetes, it can.

Excessive sugar consumption can also lead to some forms of cancer, hear disease and obesity.

If an individual is diabetic, excessive consumption of sugar can cause the growth of blood vessels in the eye which should not be there, which in turn can cause blindness.

Diabetes can lead to blindness, not sugar consumption in and of itself.

Not as far as I've heard.

As far as I know, doctors have been trying to find something bad about sugar for years and they haven't been able to come up with anything more damaging than tooth decay. Sugar really isn't bad, but if you eat too much of it, or too much of anything for that matter, your body can't burn the excess calories, and the surplus is stored (usually as fat).

Acquired blindness is one of the problems associated with diabetes, along with heart disease and poor circulation, among many other things, especially with poorly controlled diabetes.

Obviously, people with diabetes have to pay very strict attention to their sugar intake, but that has to do with insulin production and the body's inability to process any sugars, from all dietary sources, not just refined sugar.

So, blindness from sugar, I really don't think so.

Excess of any kind is not healthy. But excess sugar can lead to obesity and diabetes, which if not controlled can lead to blindness.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.

And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.
