I think Hawaii in general is a must see! lol

Its so beautiful: mild temperature, white sand beaches, clear blue oceans. Unlike Jersey------- weird weather, sharp glass in the sand, and murky water....doesnt jersey sound SOOOOOOOOOO good compared to Hawaii? (btw, im from Jersey).....But I would love to visit Hawaii one day........Even live there, but i would miss my family way too much!

=)

The best sites are Pearl Harbor, the North shore, attend a Luau, the Polynesian Cultural Center. You can also check out the pineapple plantations if you don't know how they grow. Be sure to eat one, they are nothing like you get here in the main land. Another place of interest is the Diamond Head Monument. Also, make a trip over to one of the other islands to see how the native people live and take in the native language.

Polynesian Culture Center on Oahu, also Pearl Harbour. On Maui, a drive on the Hanna Highway,160 curves & a lot of one lane bridges ,but nice. Also a trip up to Halekalee Volcano. A luau & a sunset Dinner Cruise all very nice. Been there 2 times now. On the Big Island there is a live volcano you can see.

On Oahu, make sure you drive around the island and check out the Valley of Temples on the N side - has a beautiful Buddist temple there right at the foot of the mountains!

Don't miss the Dole plantation, Chinatown in Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, go snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, and make sure to take in some people watching on Waikiki and a luau!

Have a great time! - Aloha

Dole Pineapple Plantation in Wahiawa. They have a short train ride and the world's largest maze. The maze is a lot of fun and very inexpensive. While in the area, visit the Tropic Lightning museum at Schofield Barracks, and Wheeler Field, one of the very first targets of the Japanese on Dec. 7, 1941. North Shore, especially the quiet beaches on the NW point, are great for getting away from the crowds in Waikiki.

I agree with most of what was said. But I would tell you to stay away from the tourist traps.. The PCC (Poly Culture Center). I don't think that its worth it. Go to the local clubs, If you are not traveling with kids. Go to the Denny's in the end of Waikiki, watch the sun rise, wile eating Moons over My Hammy. Go to the Aloha Bowl and go gift shopping. Go to wards center and do a little shopping. The Ala Moana is a major tourist trap. If you have big cheese to spend there, then by all means know yourself out. Gucci, Louis Vuitton,Tiffany's.... All a little to expensive for a traveler. But a wonderful place to walk around and sight see.

For eats.... (Dinner and Such)
In Waikiki, go to Rainbow Drive in.
Zippy's. Love it after the club. It's open 24 hours.

If you need a Target type store. Be sure to stop at Daie. Its like Target and they sell EVERYTHING!!!

Hope this was helpful

It depends on where you go. I lived Oahu for 7 yrs and went to Maui and the Big Island. so if you go to Oahu:
see Diamond Head, go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, see the Pearl Harbor memorial, go to the Polynesian cultural center, see a luau,go to the flea market at the aloha stadium for gifts, go downtown Honolulu/ Waikiki beach, Dole plantation (it has the world's largest pineapple maze)North shore, etc
If you go to Maui see the aquarium for sure it's like one of the top 5 in the world, i've heard
and if you go to the big isle you def have to go to the volcano national park.

Depending on what you like and when you go you can go whale watching, or like me go in a shark cage, i'd also tried surfing since that seems to be the biggest ? from people you tell you've been to HI :)

there are tons of things to do and never enough time to do them.... go to http://www.hawaiiactivities.com/... for more ideas for all the islands and to book events, see how much they cost, etc.

Hope you have fun :)

If you have the money, take a helicopter tour over the volcano's! It was the highlight of our trip to the big island in June. Cost just under $700 for a family of four to do that.
