if he roolls into towne on a friday-- and stays at a flea bag motell, and, stays 3, whole days(considering friday in your questioon here) that would make him leaving - early-- monday- not friday - its impossible-- a man cant be in 2 places at ounce!

he left the following Friday...even though he stayed 8 days including the days of his arrival and departure...three of the days were in fact days he stayed...so he did stay three days...plus an additional 5 :)...I'm sure you have a better answer to this riddle but my answer is actually plausible lol...er..plus his hores was named firday :P
