When I start the DVD, a diolog box apears that says, "Your computer cannot run this version of the Operating System." My computer well exceeds all the requirements. Its a CX200x. I downloaded the Vista image file, and burned the image to a DVD, but it just won't work.

I believe that you downloaded the wrong image file. There are two versions, 32 /64 bit. Most new machines are 64 bit and will run both versions. I'm thinking that your machine is old and your trying to run a 64 bit operating system on at 32 bit platform.

Return to the download page and download the 32 bit version.

Did you put the DVD in and reboot your computer? Do you already have a Operating system running? Are you trying to run Vista 64 bit beta or RC2? I think I had the same issue when I tried to run it the first time, I was trying to install Vista Beta 64bit operating system. I never got it to work. I then tried to install Vista Beta 32 bit operating system and it installed fine. I thought that my AMD XP64 would not have a problem but I guess it is not able to work.
