christians, here's a situation. you live by a store that's run by muslims. Would you be open to bring up anything about your religion with them? would you be afraid they might set off a dirty bomb under the counter?

Wow, I am sorry that people are so ignorant that they read your question of anxiety and assume that you think they would do what you asked.

You asked a well put question about seeing that they are Muslim (probably implying that there are obvious clues such as someone wearing a skullcap) would you worry that they might be some form of radical Muslim terrorists.

I'll be honest, there is such a gas station in a small town near Knoxville, they only take cash, and there are some other weird things about the store that worry me like the fact that their price is extremely low compared to other gas stations; I don't go there. I don't think they have a bomb but I do think something ain't right.

You could have just as easily asked it about a hunting store run by all white men, who wear tank-tops, and are bald and appear to be skinheads. Most people would probably be thinking up images from Pulp Fiction.

Actually, I have a story along these lines. A Muslim man that runs the local convenience store in my neighborhood was giving me free cokes when I would go into the store in uniform. He is very friendly and seemed to be very pro police. One day, he asked if I wanted to go to visit his mosque sometimes. I actually said I would be more than happy to do that but I would require him to attend Sunday School and church with me in return. He said he couldn't because his religion prohibited that. I told him my Christian religion didn't prevent me from attending with him and did not restrict my freedom. We are still good friends and talk regularly. Oh yeah, he also condemns terrorism and said that is why he moved here from Syria.

If the Muslim is foreighn born, he came to this country for a reason; to live without fear of war or car bombs or deadly fanaticism. You should rephrase the question" Should I buy from terrorists?", Think on THAT for a while, because every time you fill up your gas tank....

If we are true Christians, the Holy Spirit would guide us to bring up a conversation about Religion. I think you are talking about Muslim Extremists, not Muslims.

Not all Muslims are terrorists. The Muslims that run the corner store are probably peaceful people.

You ask people not to report your question, and then you proceed to run off at the mouth and generalize ALL Muslims as bomb-toting terrorists!

You've really got some nerve, lady.

"Ana, shut up"?? LOL---you really DO have some nerve. You want your pathetic little question answered or not? Jeeesh, grow up.

...and yeah, I still think you're being a bit racist and generalizing.

I believe Muslims talk more about Jesus in their homelands than we do in America. Many have to believe in secret. In America this country was founded on Jesus if people don't want him why should I preach Jesus. If they seek Him He will be found.

No, the convenience store near my house is owned and run by Muslims. They also have a clerk who is Catholic as I am. We do not fear them and they do not fear us. It's all about respect. I respect them and their faith and they do the same.
