I was wondering what increases your chances of having twins or more? I just found out that I'm pregnant and twins run in my family and I was just wondering if I had done anything that has increased my chances.

But, they do run in my family.

My dad's side: his brother and sister are fraternal twins
My dad's side: his mom's sister had fraternal boys

My mom's side: her mom is an identical twin
My mom's side: her grandma's sister had fraternal twin boys

well identicals are not genetic!!!! ( iam an identical twin!!) but as far as people saying it skips a generation..... hmmm..i have known many teins in my life... last year i know a girl who has sisters that are twins, and she herself gave birth to twins (did not skip a generation!!) and i have a girlfriend i grew up with who was also a twin, and she was pregnant with twins(she lost one though) i dont think science even kows, but your chances look good!
