The book of Romans will help you understand what happens when a human created by God himself, rejects his own creator.

Once a person rejects God in their heart, it seems as if there is no turning back. God states in Romans that a person who has rejected him is given what they asked for and God "gives them over" to their darkened heard and their own thoughts and desires.

Once they are "given over" to their own thoughts, they do exactly that, think up ways that God couldnt be real, because if God was real he would do something that they want and he would act in such a way as they believe he should act. And he certainly would never do something that they wouldnt want if he loved them and so on the downward spiral goes.

It was hard at first for me to believe that these people exist, but the longer I look at the questions in this particular forum, I see them more and more and I am deeply saddened by this, but I do accept that God knows what he is doing and that their hearts are truely hardened toward him before he ever "gives them over" to their own thoughts and desires

So let me get this straight -- God will fry us if we don't believe, but he deliberately makes it really hard to believe?

What proof do you have? I spent 15 years studying the Bible, and came to the conclusion that it was a huge mish-mash compilation of ancient Semitic literature with some wisdom and a huge amount of mythology, perversity, and evil.

Why should I have "faith" in the Bible rather than any other scripture? What evidence is there that "God" speaks to us through the Biblical text? What "proof" do you have? And why do you even talk about "proof" when you go right on to say that "proof" is unnecessary and all you need is "faith"?

You think Muslims are misguided for believing the Qur'an, and they think you're misguided for believing the Bible. I think both of you are right.

That's why the bible was written (by MAN) the way it was. So you wouldn't question and just accept it for what it was. I mean, who would question a god? You might get sentenced to hell for not taking the good books word! It was one of the most brilliant forms of control ever to come about. But....slowly and but surely, overtime more and more people are find bits and pieces of the TRUTH and more are letting go of the lies. Do you need any further explanation?

I'd love to believe in GOd.

Here is my email address, darwin_spartacus@yahoo.com.

Hell I'd even give you my phone number. What evidence do you have?

I just have a few problems with the rules, like slavery. The rule that the slave master doesn't get punished if the slave lives even thou the master beats the slave, I don't like that rule. (exodus 21:20-21)

I've been reading the Bible and looking for proof of GOd.

I don't see it.

I would love for their to be a GOd.

That's not true in my case if someone actually had some "Proof" they are free to contact me and we can debate about it. (Like many choose to do already) However giving answers like "He is god ain't he wonderful?" Is NOT an proof that there is a god! Those are the answers so many give. I don't claim to have all the answers but if there is something I don't have the answer to I don't just give up and say well if I can't find an answer then it must be god. That is NOT going to happen, sorry!

I have offered alot of evidence but though it is scientifically solid they won't even respond with their take on it... I can only assume they have no answer. This show that the idea that God is not real is nothing more than wishful thinking for people who believe they have no hope when they finally fall into His hands.. okay first of your bible is the biggest book of fiction ever written, there is no proof of your god, making Adam and eve, there is no proof of Jesus cross there is no proof of the ark, either one, where the hell was your god on 911....i can pick apart your bible and eat you for breakfast.....show me proof, in fact heres a lesson for you...back in the age before Christ was born they practiced paganism, some idiot decided instead of slaughtering lambs that they should drink the wine instead, hence the blood of Christ.........like i said there is nothing in the bible that can convince me there was Christ or god.....i can show you proof of dinosaur's and many other things, Ive been to the other side, have you? so don't preach your god to me.....i know what awaits us on the other side.....do you?

They reject God, more than they don't believe.

They don't like everything He says so they just reject Him or make their own god, usually themself or money. Concepts of "love your enemies" or "take up your own cross" don't go over great with everyone.

There is plenty of proof, the Flood, the plagues of Egypt, the Israelites taking back the Promised Land, Jesus rising from the dead and appearing to more than 500 people. These are events chronicled by many people and by sources besides the Bible.

The book of Amos talks about the King of Edom's bones being burned with lime. That never happened in Bibical times. It happened in 1917. Edom=Russia, King=Nicholas II,. The Imperial Family was massacred and put in a pit and their bones burned with lime.
Amos talks about future events. Even with proof, NO Nikki, they wont believe.

you're only supposed "proof" is from the bible and no one can authenticate that as containing god's word; so, the bible can't be considered evidence.
