I have ADobe Reader 7.0 but I really dont know whats the purpose of that program...can you like scan a document and make alterations to the doc with this program and if u can how do I do it..I want to know basically what this program is for...thanks.

Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 allows you to READ a document that has been filed with the file extension ".pfd" with all the latest features of that reading prograjm.

To make alterations you discuss in your question, you need the professional Acrobat document WRITING program, which is different and rather expensive.

Adobe reader is for reading adobe acrobat files. It is like a word document in many ways, but can be much more.

You can scan entire books into a .pdf files and have it displayed just like a book, 2 pages on the screen, pictures and all.

You can search for text in what you scan in thanks to character recognition.

It is a very handy program.

Its just a program for reading Adobe Acrobat file i.e files with .pdf extension. It cant be used for making permanent alternations to the .pdf file. Try the link below for more details. Hope that it helps :).

Adobe is used to download and read PDF files from the internet. You can also type information into it, if it's a form (like a printable passport application)
