I've had this crush on an author of one of my fav. books. I've read good things about him. But when I when I told my friends of him, they I thought I was weird because I have a crush on someone that I've never met. Is it weird?

No not at all, of course that is coming from someone who is in the same situation. I think I'm in love with the Korean sensation Rain, my friends think it's an obsession. I've had celebrity crushes before when I was younger, but it was fleeting, I don't know this seems rather different.

Nope. It's called a fantasy. They are perfect in your mind because you only know what you've read or been told about them. Enjoy it, cause if you probably ever met them you would no doubt be very disappointed, your dream person farts, burps, and says dumb things just like the rest of us humans.
