On shows and stories why does it seem like that only catholics, not Christians(the non-catholics) experience haunted houses, demons, ghosts, hauntings and being possessed by demons but not Christians.

WHy is that?

i did study this at university
and yes in the majority of cases we studied it did tend to be deeply religious catholics
my theory is that they feel in some way deserving of such punishment .. a way of attonemnet
there was one girl i studied ... who had all the usual symptoms of possesion and before her mother called the priest , she told a friend about it who was a paranormal researcher
so the lady asked if she could see the girl and was it ok to speak with her
well this lady did so .. and she gave the girl a simple visualisation to follow ( like meditation ) and the " demon " went
now i do wonder ... if a simple technique like this can work because the girl trusted this lady ... would a demon be so easily persuaded to go if infact one was there ?
i dont think so xx

Catholics have been casting out demons ever since Jesus and the Apostles did it.

Modern psychology says that most of the people who had demons cast out of them were probably miraculously cured from schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. But their cures were still miracles.

The Catholic Church believes that real demonic possessions are rare but possible, so they keep a few exorcists around just in case.

I cannot speak for other Christian denominations.

With love in Christ.

Catholics have a special branch dedicated to exorsisms and are, to my knowledge, the only christian religion that handles these things. I do not honestly know if any other branch of Christianity deals with exorsisms, which is probably why when a movie needs a priest to deal with a demon, he's portrayed as Catholic.

Alright, I'm Russian Orthodox, in fact, I was a minister in Moscow. Here's my answer to that, I blow those ***** away every chance I get. In fact, if you find anyone that needs some 'exorcism', just send me on down, I'll level the place faster than you can say 'holy ****!', now how's that for a inquisition?

Catholics actually have a theological branch of priests within the church, formerly the guys why were inquisitors, that investigate and exorcise demons. there arent alot of members and if you actually went looking you could probably get recruited, so long as you're male

According to the Media ,Catholicism is the only religion, the Protestants are a bunch of "Hayseeds" and Hics. But you'd do well to use a spirit filled protestant to do your exorcism over a priest.
