How come when I see stories about races other than mine I could care less, but when I see one about my race doing something bad crime-wise or something like that I feel a little bad?

I AM DEFINITELY NOT A RACIST AND I CARE ABOUT OTHERS REGARDLESS OF RACE, THIS IS JUST HOW I FEEL.

Example of what I mean: A yellow person (not my race) robs a place I dont really care

A red person (my race) does the same thing and I do.

I don't understand your question! You're red? What does that mean? I'm from Oklahoma; guess I'm out of the loop or something!

Because that's the way a lot of people are. And it may sound a little racist, but often times it's not, you just care more that someone of your race is doing something stupid.

This is because you are being ethnocentric. This is a common problem in the US. Races only care about their own kind. We need to be more like Canada where they look at the individual as a human and ignore the skin color.
You also feel bad because you identify with them, and you are worried that their behavior will reflect on you.

You feel more of a connection when you see your own kind doing something wrong or being the victim of a crime.

Its not a crime to feel like that.

I personally only feel bad for victims of crimes (of what ever race) and could care less for the wrong doers.

Well probably because you identify more with your own race, but I'm not sure why you don't feel bad no matter who it is.

And your edit contradicts your question by the way.

Its a natural instinct to be upset when you see your race stereotyped by bad news stories.

There are good ,bad and ugly off all races. If someone treats you nice or does something good it should not matter.

no matter what color or race, there is a bad apple now & then in every basket. It just is more noticable when it comes from your basket I guess. Make sence???
