I've never needed to set aside my beliefs to help someone. Even when it came to helping a Christian find certain things in the Bible about their situation.

this would be a sturdy question. i dont think of i ever have had to place aside my ideals to help somebody - and im uncertain that i could. i does no longer have dealt with the situation u point out in the comparable way as u. i ask your self why pals directed a catholic to ask non secular suggestion of an atheist? i might have spoke back easily - after which cautioned him to seek for solutions from his priest. i dont sense that with the aid of telling him what he of course needed to take heed to (that no - god thinks its cool to kill human beings in a war) u "swallowed ur satisfaction" or confirmed compassion. i think of u didnt opt to harm ur pals emotions, so u lied. in basic terms u can % no remember if that's the fashion of chum, and guy or woman customarily, who does that. there's a difference between telling a certainty gently, and hitting somebody over the pinnacle with it.

in what situation ? i am a firm pro-lifer and believe in God, yet if a woman on the way into an abortion clinic slipped and fell i would help her up. that is not setting aside my belief, in a way it is upholding my belief in the golden rule. now if she wanted a ride to the clinic then no i would not help her out.

Hello Sinyckel.. :)

Why would one have to set aside their beliefs in order to help someone..

For me to live as though I do not walk, talk and act like Jesus, is living a lie..it would not serve either of us.. :(

For me to live is Christ.. :)

So my answer is No..I will not deny my faith and who I am..for that is why and how I help others.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Of course.

Why do you need to fully push your beliefs on someone to help them.

Firefighters and police dont take that to heart.

For example... if I was a christian it wouldnt mean that I wouldnt help pull a jewish man from a burning car.

Yes. I have a brother n law who is in a situation that I don't believe in and noone in his family agree with. However, when he brings his significant other I treat her with respect despite the fact that I wish they would do the right thing.

Compassion towards fellow human beings should be the ultimate purpose of our beliefs. We are all one in the same.
