Go to the vet and get a diagnosis. They are the only ones that can diagnose the mange.

Chows are prone to skin problems as are certain other breeds like labs. If it smells it could yeast overgrowth. Which sounds gross to us but all dogs like humans harbor a certain amount of yeast and sometimes they get a overgrowth for what ever reason. Sometimes stress or illnesses occur prior to. This takes a special shampoo and a vetalog shot to help with the itch which only makes it worse. Mange can also cause hair to fall out. In that case the vet will do whats called a skin scrape where they take a razor blade and rub it on a spot until it bleeds, just to prepare you, This is done so that the mites can be seen under a microscope. The mites live deep in the hair follicle. Either way you need to see the vet but in the meantime giving a bath in oatmeal will help some.

you shouldnt bathe it much because when you bathe dogs a lot they loose their hair. Bathe your dog in oatmeal oncea moth no more no less this is one of the reasons your dog is loosing fur your are probably bathing it too frequently. Bathe it once a month in oatmeal only dont use aloe becase aloe is meant for humans and can suck up all of your dogs natural oils which are needed to make your dogs coat shiny and healthy. So no huam products. Beside the oatmeal bathe continue to use meds but I recomend you start using advanteage as soon as possible instead of meads because advantage works better i know people who have used it and it really works !!! So start using advantage and bathe your dog oncea moth if you still want to use meds thats up too you put dont use anything else on your dog besides meds or advantage and an oatmeal bath oncea week beacuse if you use moree products on your dog its skin will contine you irritate. Here is what you should to to help your dog.

1. Bathe it with oatmeal once a month. ( helps keep dogs skin and coat healthy and also prevents dog from having dandfuff)
2. Use advantage to kill ticks, fleas and more. ( well stop sctrachting which will in turn stop skin irritation)
3. ONLY BATHE YOUR DOG ONCE A MONTH !!! ( every 3 to 4 weeks so it will not suffer from severe hair loss)
4. Buy it a flea color.
5. Buy it a brush and brush it once a week.
6. Add chunks of tuna to its food once a week( it helps hair grow)
dont really no why this works but it does

i would recommend that your dog be seen by it's vet. the skin problem could be one of many different things and trying to treat it at home really seems to be doing nothing to help your pet. i would recommend that you stop purchasing things that do not work and take your pet to the vet. good luck.

you ask an honest question. and these scumbags want you to pay them money for a vet.. if you don't have a good answer KEEP YOUR mouth SHUT!
if I could afford a Vet I wouldn't be asking.

TRY FILLING THE TUB ENOUGH SO THAT ALL IS SUBMERGED EXCEPT HER HEAD WITH FAIRLY WARM....NOT TOO HOT WATER AND A TEASPOON OF CLOROX ...ONLY A TEASPOON....IF YOU CAN GET HER TO STAY IN IT FOR TWENTY MINUTES BEFORE DRYING HER AND CAN DO THIS TWICE A WEEK.....I THINK YOU WILL SEE A GREAT DIFFERENCE IN HER HEALING.....BEST OF LUCK

get her back to the vet. anytime an infection sets in and starts to smell, it could be fatal if not treated quickly.
