We should live our lives for God with vigor and fullness of purpose. Living for God means being here, "from the world but not of it". Be living examples of what the Lord can do in peoples lives. Make them want what God has done in your life. That is the work to be done here. To witness and help our neighbour.
"It is our duty to "occupy" until Jesus comes. In the parable of the king's ten servants, we are told to do the business that needs to be done "until I come back" (Luke 19:13). While waiting for the coming of Jesus in glory, we must be diligent about doing the work which Jesus assigned us to do. We are to make disciples, and baptize new believers, and then teach them to follow Christ. We must live our lives as though Jesus might return within the next hour." (1)

There is a difference in being heavenly minded and religious minded.
Heavenly minded is when one keeps their thoughts and heart on living a good path.
Religious minded is when one keeps their thoughts and heart on living up to the latest dogma (man made inclinations) of any given religion.
So if you are referring to Religious mindedness then the answer is "yes" for the true way of the spirit doesn't lead to being of no earthly good.

To be heavenly minded is to be fully aware of and in consideration of earthly things. When someone is properly heavenly minded, or let's call it heaven-oriented, they must be aware that, in order to achieve heaven, they must be focused on creating earthly good. There is no religion that says that you can avoid doing good or do bad and still get to heaven, you can, however, do a bad act and still get to heaven in spite of it ( but this tangent will stray to the subject of forgiveness, so we will ignore it for now.) But NO ONE, not ever a misguided terrorist, will say that doing bad is a way of getting to heaven. Terrorists somehow believe that the action they are partaking in is inherently good, not inherently evil.
People who aspire to achieve heaven are fully aware of earth because their time on earth is their means of getting to heaven. you cannot have heaven without earth, the way you cannot have steak without a cow.
It is a fool's errand to propose that you can be too spiritual and therefore out of the world.

No, this is a cliche which the devil uses, for His people to be less spiritually minded.
The Bible says
Set your eyes on things above, not on earthly things.

My mom taught sunday college at our church and additionally gave non secular talks and my father became deacon. We have been a classic non secular, church going family individuals that prayed just about ten minutes each and every week. with reference to the norm for most of the persons interior the Christian Church we attended. She used to assert, "there are diverse different issues besides God!" i could continuously tell her, "No there is not." God Is. each and every element else seems to be. the visual attraction of advent is in simple terms that. it may in no way be understood by using finding at it from the senses. they are themselves purely appearances and warp in accordance to the state of the heart and suggestions that are doing the finding. to confirm issues undistorted is to confirm from interior, on the source of Being it is Self. by way of fact of this Saint Francis ought to assert, "What you're searching for for is who's doing the finding?" it is the Christ interior that sees of course and the ego/suggestions that sees issues distorted. Preachers who don't comprehend it is heard to assert all varieties of nonsense. I as quickly as heard a preacher pontificate, "Our God is a God of abundance and that i prefer to confirm Cadillacs and Roles Royce's in my automobile parking zone." It became his automobile parking zone too by way of fact the examine in front of the church had his call on it two times the dimensions of Jesus's call. No, we can't be too spiritually concentrated. the best we can do interior the international isn't something while in comparison with the best a Saint can do even while they are cloistered for his or her entire lives. it is the means of Spirit interior the international that works the magic and not the means of the actual attempt although this is likewise significant and substantial.
