I think the only thing that GOD and the devil fight over is our souls. The devil may use those tools that you listed, our minds, heart, life and truth, and any other thing he can use to get to us. But, in the end, it is us who chooses the winner of the battle. We either give our souls to GOD or we don't.

God did not fight with the devil at all
the devil fighting us
he already lost his battle with God.
Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

God by his loving kindness is trying to bring our souls back to his presence and the devil is fighting tooth and nails for these precious souls. In the end that is what matters.

The devil just wants power and authority. God wants love.

The Devil want our souls, but if you are truthful, he can't touch you, cause your positive, Satan is negative, so if your positive, it's in your heart where God is... it's mind over matter:)

God does not exist. The devil does not exist. Therefore they do not fight - ergo the question is meaningless.

permission to redirect.since the beginning of creation and mankind had failed the test of obedience,a lie was set forth in the heavens that humans cannot serve god in love for his creation instead they do it out of fear, god has been proving ever since that there are humans that have the ability to serve through love for him voluntarily, these examples vindicate the name of God and shows that the devil did lie and still does.

Weeeeel...... according to the storybooks, Satan encourages us to be more human, while God encourages us to be more divine.
Personally, I wouldn't follow anyone who tried to force me to be something I wasn't, especially when it's done through bribes and threats.
Hence we have reason number 8 million why I'm an atheist.

They don't fight. They work together. Lucifer means light-bringer and he only offers alternatives if wisdom is not attractive enough. The alternatives bring progressively more pain but that's not Lucifer's fault, that's choice. Don't shoot the messenger
