You know...how like New York pizza is better in New York, or oranges are better in Florida, stuff like that. So, is the chicken any better in Kentucky?

Well I lived in Kentucky in the early '90's and I was surprised because they were so old! Obviously it must of been one of the first areas they built them. I found that the chicken at the KFC's in Kentucky and TN was exemplary! We lived on Ft. Campbell Army Post and they had the largest KFC in the country back in 1993. It was huge and it was good. They also used the KFC's in that area for testing "new" products such as different sauces, side dishes, and chicken products so there were some pretty "interesting" things offered. The price was competitive with other fast food chains too. My husband and I could get KFC for the same price as McDonald's etc. Not true in Ohio or Nebraska.

I live in Kentucky and I don't think the taste of Ky Fried Chicken is any different here than anywhere else I have had it in the states. I guess it could taste different in other countries if the restaurants use other types of cooking oil, though.

I drove through Kentucky going cross country. I took a pit stop at KFC thinking the same thing, but was sadly disappointed.
