Adam was the son of God.

Why could Muhammad not know that the 2nd Adam, Jesus was the Son of God.

Anything is possible for God.

yes in order for GOD to be a 'father' he needs to have a Son ,so Jesus Christ is the Son of God and we are also children of GOD by adaption.
GOD Bless!!!!!!!!

God created Adam. He was God's creation. That is all there is to it. Adam was not an actual Son of God. That is a Christian concept that is misquoted from old Jewish text where Jews used to say phrases like "son of god" to assign special status to people who were knowledgeable or powerful or were like prophets of sorts. The phrase "son of god" is actually better translated as "slave of god" or "special agent of god". The old testament is full of quotes like this and all those quotes are not designating people as God's Sons. This is why the Jews never made the mistake of misunderstanding their own language and neither did the Muslims. Only the Christians screwed up because of Paul and his association with the pagan armies of the Romans who did believe in a father-son relationship of god.

Well you cant call that they are not the son of God

for Adam ( pbuh ) god made him from clay ( or mud ) and then he blew a part of his sole in to him so he came to life.

and as for Jesus ( pbuh ) he was given from god to Gabriel to be given to Maryam.

so i don't think that we can call them son`s of God, they are a part of him not there son`s

by the way pbuh means :( Peace be upon him )

that's what i think hope you wont feel offended by it.
