first off, let in as much natural light as possible. The darker the room is, or the more artificial light there is, the more likely you are to becoming depressed. If you can, get a dog or some pet to play with and rent a lot of movies. Pick an activity that is time consuming that you can do from home, such as scrapbooking or cooking. Have someone bring you materials, or invite people over. Take this time to learn something new or read books. You can also look for ways to redecorate the house. Just find something productive to do. Reorganize things. Simply put stuff you wish you had the time to do, but never had the time...well here is your chance. Dive into your creative side. Hope this helps. Also, you are on house arrest, but find a way to laugh at it. If you have to wear a ankle bracelet or something, paint designs on it or something. Make it fun for you.

You need to find a hobby. I'm assuming you can go outside the door of your house and that would help you alot. Let the sun hit you in the face. smell the fresh air. lean out the window and feel the rain. that will all help you. Mainly you need to get people around you and keep your mind busy. TV does not keep your mind busy. An indoor pet like a cat may help because animals are proven to be very theraputic and you don't need to take them for a walk. Most of all you can call help lines and they will give you more suggestions and someone to talk to that understands what you are going thru.

Well how did you cope in jail? You have got to have relationships, use the mobile, write letters. Take up a pastime instead of cleansing...comparable to stitching, needlepoint, or whatever. Start a challenge that you'll be able to preserve after your condominium arrest is over. Take on a correspondance direction to arrange you for the paintings global while you're off parole. Do whatever to provide again to society.

For one you can think of being somewhat free compared to being in prison, can leep in your own bed and not be afraid anymore of being jumped.-No need to tell you what life in prison is like and I'd take confined to house over that any day. You by being on the Internet have access to the whole world-join a Chat room and many free out there for" talking" to various people will improve the Alone Feeling-the why of depression. You also have the phone and call those you know-being recently in jail maybe you do not know people but can also go on-line dating E-mail and then later move on to phone. Read-if you can have newspaper delivered re-acquaint yourself with whats going on and don't know how long you were in jail but if things have chagned-the newspaper can help you see things as they are now. Find pen-pal. Get a Hobby you can do in the house-paint-you can express yourself and a great way to make time pass-you may find a hidden talent-and a way to bring feelings out of you unto the canvas, in the same line keep a Journal-l way to write your thoughts, feelings for always best to get stuff out for once out does not sem to bother as much. Anything creative you can think to do -Watch the HGTV Channel or Any Craft Channel on TV to get ideas, if by chance you have no TV contact the ST>Vincent De Paul Society of the Catholic Church -they will help or call anyway for within the Church you have those who visit sick, infirm and so forth if you are open to God,esp. for its probably lack of sufficient human contact that is getting you depressed -this may be a way and you can't lose by calling but may gain a lot. Can you sit outside the back or front door-for with me just being outside lifts my spirit and puts me in a better mood and although this is a small activity in itself can be pleasant-watch the cars and people going by and you'll feel less isolated. READ---all kind of lives, worlds, ages are there for you to find out about-occupies your mind and makes time go by and can be very entertaining, stimulating. Since you have no choice in the house arrest find ways to occupy for often its also idleness of mind and body that allows depression to take hold and also remind yourself that this will end eventually. Pray for God to give you inner strength and peace-try reading the bible, has adventure, and a map of how your life should be. I wish you well.

Umm. Id experiment with cooking, play online games, all that stuff.
I'd also buy peanut butter, choclate and ice cream. Those are helpers when anyone is sad.

invite friends over and do things at your house. try finding a chat room with people who are in your same position. you may find some solace in those that are dealing with the same things you are.
