A gunner’s mate maintains guns, missile launchers, and small arms. They are also responsible for the safe handling of all munitions. The basic gunner’s mate training is six-months in the Navy and then there are additional schools after that. For example, missile launcher training is an additional six-months. A gunner’s mate has to know hydraulics, electronics/electrical, and much more. It is not the old Navy.

Yes it is navy, second gunner carries bullets and stand its not an mos but a on the job trained position
