every dog is different-just like people are. i feel that the best dog to have as a pet is a friendly one, no specific breed, just a nice friendly dog.

It depends on your personality. Some prefer powerful dogs, big ones. Some others prefer small pets. There is no "best type of dog". They are all great.
Just think of yourself.......the type of dog YOU would feel comfortable with. And after that go ask a vet and he/she will tell you / choose for you the best breed. Wish you luck and lots of love

In my opinion ,the best type of dog to have as a pet is the Rat Terriers. They are like persons ... and they're also really smart .

Everybody's situation is different. So what makes a perfect pet for one person, may not be a perfect situation for you.
That's how a lot of dogs end up in the pound.

The one that best suits your lifestyle and personality. If your active you want an active dog. Do you want to train the dog and do agility or do you want it to just be there? When you say this is what I want in a dog then you can begin the process of selecting the correct breed for you.

It depends on where you are going to keep the dog, inside or outside.Small ones inside,big ones outside. As for the breed any will do because any grown (mature) dog is only as smart and obedient as it is trained to be while it is growing up.

I think it's up to the individual. It's best to shop around and before making a final decision get to know the dog's personality and make sure it matches with yours. That's what I did with my 3 chihuhuas and toy-poodle.

Well it depends... do you have snow? Extreme heat? Big backyard? Small backyard? Do you live in the City? Do you live in the country? Do you want a big dog? Do you want a small Dog? Do you work? Do you have kids? Do you have allergies?

I think that Chihuahuas are good pets to have if you want a small dog. Chihuahuas are small, cute, and playful. If you want a big dog I would pick a Siberian Huskey. They are extremely adorable dogs! I love them. They're playful and adorable!!!!!!I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
