Other than washing, how can i keep my hair from looking oily in between flat-ironings? Actually, it doesn't look oily at all, but i don't like that feeling when i run my fingers through my hair

my hair is NOT oily naturally, so please don't suggest special shampoos for that; also, i don't use products like gel and mousse, so that isn't the problem i would prefer remedies such as baby powder

I think you need to change your diet. Oily and fatty foods can sometimes cause greasy hair so cut down on the oily foods. I know you don't want me to suggest a shampoo but children'shampoo helps!

sprinkle baby powder on it! It will give a nice smell. Just apply and shake! (yr head of course) Brush it and then Viola! Perfect no oil hair!

I would cut your hair. When I got my hair it was so much cleaner, shiner, and easier to take care of it. Or you could get layers. I wash my hair everday, and it works for me.

sounds like you have a build up of something in your hair.. maybe you didn't rinse it well .. if you used conditioner and didn't rinse well it will feel kinda gummy.. rinse it again and see if that helps 2 make it feel smooth..
