the problems are so numerous i could not go into all of them here. first of all, you should obviously take a course in food handling, which your local govrnment agency gives for free, second, please tell us where, if at all, the restaurant you work, so that we may not have to suffer food poisoning, third, sticky fly traps are just that, they contain no poisons to kill the flies that are attracted and trapped thereon, hence, they remain alive, and like all living creatures, they continue to defecate (should i go into detail?) fourth, hows your hair hanging these days? I leaned over a counter one day at a country house where they had these devices employed and stepped away with a new attachement, LOOK to put it simply JUST DONT DO IT

Apparently, the problem is that society at present cannot cope with the idea of needing to catch flies before they get to the food. They apparently feel that nonchemical fly removal contaminates food, and live flies, poisons, or flyswatters are an improvement. My aunt always hangs hers above the counters and food areas, because that's where the flies go the most, and where you want to do the least flyswatting and spraying of poison. The traps have a bit of tray at the bottom, so nothing really falls past the trap, even if it did get free of the adhesive goo.

Probably the biggest problem is if you bump it and come into contact with the sticky substance. You'll be scrubbing for hours (or so it feels!).

Because most people think flies carry diseases and to see it over an area that contains food is just gross.

That is just plain nasty! They should write those people up. It's unsanitary and is not appealing when you go to order some food.
