you know ppl all over the world can never have one opinion on anything not only religion
their opinion depends on the area, beliefs ,Media ,personal understanding , feelings and so many other
we all cant agree on the same thing so ppl with think Islam is peaceful religion while others not same for any other religion otherwise we all become Muslims or Christians or even atheist
( from our difference we gain knowledge and sometimes horror )
by the way all the answers you will get depends on how the answerer think of islam not the whole world

There is good and bad people in all Religion, you cant judge them even though there is so many bad people. From what I understand, the majority want peace as we do.

It all depends on the historical context. If you keep provoking Moslems, insulting their prophet, denigrating their beliefs, invading their lands and humiliating their people, they are bound to react quite violently. A moslem is no supposed to turn the other cheek but fight back.
