I know that guacamole sauce (is that how you spell, it, if not I mean the green sauce people put on tortilla chips and fajitas and stuff) is high in calories. But is it empty calories or filled with nutrients and things like that? I dont really care how many cals it has, I just want to know if it has any health benefits, and If you can , basically whats in it?
also whats cilantro?

Guacamole is made from avocados which are high in fats but also loads of great nutrients.

Avocados are a good source of vitamin K, dietary fiber, vitamin B6, vitamin C, folate and copper. Avocados are also a good source of potassium: they are higher in potassium than a medium banana.

Although they are fruits, avocados have a high fat content of between 71 to 88% of their total calories - about 20 times the average for other fruits. A typical avocado contains 30 grams of fat, but 20 of these fat grams are health-promoting monounsaturated fats, especially oleic acid.

Well homemade guacamole is full of lovely oils that are rich in vitamins, fatty acids etc. The peppers and seasonings you put in it are also full of vitamins etc. So if you're going to eat a fat filled treat it is the one to pick. Guacamole usually contains: avocados, cilantro, tomatoes, onion, garlic, peppers, and fresh lime juice.

Cilantro is a flat leaf type of parsley with an unusual taste. Some love it others despise it. It is used a great deal in Mexican and some Thai cooking. You can find it in almost any grocery store that sells fresh parsley.

Actually, the oil from the avocado(which guacamole comes from) is good for you. Cilantro is a green herb that you use to put in beans and tacos.

Cilantro - pronounced [sih-LAHN-troh]
This member of the carrot family is also referred to as Chinese Parsley and Coriander. It is actually the leaves (and stems) of the Coriander plant. Cilantro has a very pungent odor and is widely used in Mexican, Caribbean and Asian cooking. The Cilantro leaves look a bit like flat Italian parsley and in fact are related.

Avacados are good for you, and if you use garlic and onions in it they are good for you too.
