I would also like to add something else:
La Réunion (Indian Ocean), Guadeloupe et Martinique (Atlantic Ocean) and all these islands which are either DOM or TOM (Overseas department and territories) ARE French. That's why they obviously use FRENCH as their official language.
I'm just saying that because they always seem to get that part wrong in those lists, and my dad was from Réunion and he was FRENCH!
La Réunion is as much a department as Normandy is!
(True, those parts of the world have been colonized, but not Reunion Island, as there was no one nefore on the island)

In addition, French is an administrative language of Mauritania and is commonly understood (though not official) in Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.
In Asia, French is an administrative language in Laos and Lebanon, and is used unofficially in parts of Cambodia, India (Puducherry, Mahé, Karikal and Yanam), Syria and Vietnam. But, French has official language status in Union Territory of Puducherry along with the region's de facto Language Tamil. It is an official language in the French possessions of Mayotte and Réunion both located in the Indian Ocean.
French is also an official language of the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu, along with France's current possessions of French Polynesia, Wallis & Futuna and New Caledonia.
Moonshine is lazy. Not all countries members de la Francofonie have France official language or second language. This are sure Moldova,Bulgaria,Romania and the asociated state(Albania ,Andorra ,Greece ,Macedonia ) .Trust me! I'm Romanian and I live in Romania.
Help you?

Please don't include French as a popular language in Vietnam. It is known by a very small number of people here only, and many of them are old.
