I know everyone says it's just that you're together that makes it nice. But I feel so depressed because it's just like any other day. We aren't doing anything special. :(

When the kids go to bed make it special, or see if one of your family members will watch them. Then light some candles do some dancing and drink some wine. Then make love it will be a night he won't forget. Good luck and Happy Anniversary.

Been there, done this.....
Happy Anniversary, by the way....
So you two have survived no money and 3 kids. I think that does deserve a celebration.....the weather is nice....Plan a picnic at a local park. Have dad do the dad grilling thing and you do the mom walk the kids to the swing thing....Have them run and play and eat like little piggies....Take them home, bathe them and put them to bed.
Light some candles, break out that $2.00 bottle of wine and share a laugh with your man. Put that special dinner you fixed the day before in the oven to warm up. Give him the CD you want to play and then go take a bath. Um, after that I think you've got it......

Maybe your too materialistic! Since when is spending time with people you care about NOT special! I turn 48 years old today and we are staying home and having a nice dinner. The best part of my day will be when kids (all five) give me gifts they "made" with their ones hands! No money no trip etc just the pure joy of being with those I love! If you don't understand that perhaps you should learn!

I know were you are coming from. Try this... the two of you put the kids to bed then the both of you make a picnic lunch and set it up in the living room on the floor. Or get a couple cheap steaks and marinate them over night. Then after the kids are in bed have dinner with a couple candles from the dollar store and enjoy. My wife likes dishing up my plate of food for me so do that for your husband. Good luck. dm

Begin with a movie with the kids and some popcorn. After the movie, put them to bed. Run a nice warm bubble bath for two and light a couple of candles. And just talk.

Do something with the whole entire family, and then when they fall asleep, make dinner for your husband and have a nice romantic nite.
