oxyman42,you and others my brain without spiritual awareness can see the tremendous changes, throughout history, in the awareness of GOD and ways to seek him. I see by many of the answers that on adage is still very true. "THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE WHO WILL NOT SEE",thats okay this question is for those silent ones who are reading and seeking to better know GOD.

Awareness of God is the only thing in life to accomplish, all else is failure. I'd like to think the majority of humanity is evolving, that is what God wants and why He created us. To learn and want to be like Him. God l love God.

Yes and no. We're living in a culture of fear, which in turn takes people back to what comforts them, what doesn't issue challenges, something considered "safe" ... thus some have returned to various established religious systems to help asuage that fear and find a safe haven.
Others, however, see this time as more of a challenge. The more we know, the more we realize how little we REALLY know. The ability to admit we might not know the "big picture" is a huge leap in human thinking (that prefers, usually, to feel RIGHT). These people are the visionaries who dare to breach status quo and walk a different walk.

it's quite the opposite. As society evolves people begin to believe in god less and less. Religion is for the small minded and as humans gain more knowledge we will evolve into a completely secular nation. Can't you see that it is already happening. Look at the younger generation, there are a lot less religious people than the generation before. Those numbers are just going to get smaller and smaller.

Actually the answers to your question offer to disprove your theory, wouldn't you agree?
The path to awareness is not one of comfort. To take a stand attracts those who would seek to dispell and disarm.
It's the age old power vs. force (read Hawkin's book by this title). He discusses the root of human behaviour, with both a scientific and spiritual approach. While the masses of our population seek to feed their ego's by means of "force", there are a few who engage in empowerment. As Dr. Hawkins shows us, force is powerless when confronted by power. The world is filled with forcing egos, yet it only takes a few to elevate global consciousness.
You may interpret this as you wish.

Humanity has done very little in the past 6000 years but make
babies, build a few cities, and war amongst itself. It's not the
Age of Aquarius that is expanding our awareness, it's our
Highest Power.
"Knowledge will be increased."
"There is nothing that will not be made known."
THE BOOK.

Uh, I beleive the term you were seeking to use was "Humanity is DEVOLVING into a greater awaremess of God..."
Remember this: the last time Religion ruled the Earth, it was called the Dark Ages.

I disagree. Humanity was more into God when there were no TV's and iPods. I think it's just that today, the people who care about God are louder and it is a more passionate fight. That makes it seem like more people care, but it's less.

Check out the answers you've received. When it rains, it rains atheists. I wish people were becoming more aware, but I'm not so sure. But whatever the number, let's pray that many, many more come to the Lord!!!

Actually, as our knowledge of the universe expands, the idea of a god or gods becomes even more unlikely.

I hate to tell you this but you are 180 degrees wrong. More and more educated people start to acknowledge that god is imaginary. See this; http://www.godisimaginary.com/index.htm
The more people know the more peace we will have in this world. Have you ever checked how many "religious" wars have been fought and how many "Atheist" wars, that should open your eyes.
