I'll treat this question seriously.

Immigration tends to thrive where the indiginous population are neither willing to take jobs that are available, or price themselves out of the market.

In the 1950's many West Indians came to England (not the UK - it was a English phenomena) to work on the buses, as cleaners, etc - all jobs that whilst there was full employment the English did not want to take. I guess the same thing applies with Mexicans in the US finding employment doing things that Americans would prefer not to do.

With an ageing population, legal migration helps to keep the economy flowing as without younger entrants to job market there would be insufficient economic wealth created to pay the pensions and healthcare of the ageing population. So, from a labour market perspective, legal migration generally has a positive effect on the economy. It also improves the skill base, and being cynical, can bring down labour rates which is why some people are anti migration to protect their own interests.

On a social level, the debate is wide open. There has been considerable debate in the last 20 years in the UK as to the degree to which British people should expect migrants to integrate into society. Twenty years of so ago, a Conservative politician famously raised the "cricket team question" - ie if you are a second generation immigrant from say India to England, which cricket team would you support. In the last week, Jack Straw, a former Home Secretary, has expressed regret that Muslim women "hide" behind burkah's. (Of course it is illegal to wear a veil in France in certain situations). The UK is shifting from a position a few years ago of accepting that other cultures are different and do not need to integrate, to one where voluntary ghettoisation creates discord in society.

All Things Considered, October 6, 2005 · A record-setting 464 illegal immigrants have died this year trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. Cities along the border pay high costs, storing bodies and conducting autopsies before they can be either buried or shipped back to Mexico or Central America.
ps, what is that crappy video???
black people were brought here as slaves, you're the Mexican bandito, and I do NOT get your point!
