Test the waters and throw the idea out to her. All she can do is say no but at least you will know the answer.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

if it comes down to a choice between sanity and keeping her, choose sanity. It will hurt, it won't be fun, but, better to have a fun equal, than someone you have to carry the relationship alone for, or be a slave to.

The person you need to talk to is her, and see if she is seeing anyone, or is involved. And see if she wants to go out on a date, and ask her what are your changes?
