I dont wana make him feel bad or anything i have told him my deal with it can someone please help me figure out a way to fix this little problem?!

well they are his family and they are obviously important to him , as far as the speaking a different language in front of you goes...if it is there second language then they are probably just more comfortable speaking that way to each other. it isn't meant in disrespect. but you need to tell him that it makes you feel uncomfortable.
i will say this.. if you make him chose between you and his family you will lose.try to be a part of his family, not a wedge between them and him. you may find that they will accept you more readily and stop speaking Spanish in front of you all the time.

Why don't you ask him to teach you Spanish - would be a great way to learn a second language... Maybe his family would even help you. The best thing you can try to do is integrate with his family - ask him mom to help you learn to cook some spanish dishes..... I don't think there's an option here - because some men are very family oriented. Not that he doesn't love you - but he's a "family guy"..... so just try to become part of it.

Why live with someone who isn't considerate of you?
If he was right for you he'd be happy to teach you spanish... just like the guys I dated who were spanish taught me some of their language and their families were most helpful as well.
I would suggest moving out and having your own place... that way you don't have to put up with a lot of crap!

He is your live in boyfriend. It's pretty serious. YOu should be able to communicate your ffeelings to him. I suggest that you just let him know that it bothers you and ask hiim to talk to his family about it. If you keep your feelings inside and don't communicate with your man, you will lose him. His family probably doesn't even see it as being rude, they are from another culture... how are they supposed to know? I mean we speak English in front of them all of the time and don't give a rats *** about it. Communicate with them!
