Because they are culturally retarded. The only problem with using that phrase often enough though is if it gets popular they will probably want to get disability checks for not adapting to our culture.

It's nice to know more than one language. In Europe they usually speak 2 or 3 languages, and I speak english, spanish and a little french.

They speak Spanish in AMERICA because AMERICA is the continents of North and South America. Many languages are spoken on these continents.
I assume you meant The United States, which doesn't have an official language, and therfor any language is acceptable.

A long time ago, in the ancient and lost land of the real USA, in order for an individual to gain legal status in AMERICA, one was required by law to learn at least a modicum, or working understanding, of the ENGLISH language. That was to insure the individual at least a fighting chance of, not only to survive here, but to actually gain from their newly granted status, which was not a given right, but was indeed the earned priviledge (a gift ,which could be rescinded) to maintain citizenship in this the once great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ,"THE END".

considering the whole american civilisation and culture derived from people emigrating there. i really don't see what your problem is. secondly spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world, and it does after all border how many spanish speaking countries, so its hardly surprising that you get people speaking spanish in the us.
Personally when i go to the us i love talking spanish (even tho i am english, from england, with english heritage. unlike most americans whos' ancestry is from every corner of the globe) the reason i love speaking spanish? simple cause i can say what i like about dimwits like you and your to damn stupid to understand. gillipollas.

That is if these people would really want to enjoy their freedom, besides they are latino, hispanic or spanish origin. They only use this language where they used to and want to express more in easier way. But these people also understand English but they prefer Spanish because its their primary language. So let's respect of what they want to use as long as they are not hurting others or violating any law.

I'm assuming you are just trying to get people's blood pumping. English isn't the language. We don't have one. It would be good for you to spend some time seeing the world and come back hopefully with a different attitude. I am glad people in Europe are not as rude to me as you probably are to Spanish speakers.

Yes, you are 100 % accurate, Yesterday, I was the only white person in a business place. There were six people from Mexico that were speaking Spanish. They had two sweet little children with them. I smiled at the sweet little ones and when I did the mothers picked the children up , so as I could not see them. I tried not to think they were snubbing me, but they were . It was as if they did not even want the little ones to look at me. I don't think they could speak English.

If people are VISITING the United States, I don't expect them to be fluent in English, although if they are from Europe, they are probably extremely fluent in English.

But, if ANYONE wants to LIVE in the U.S., they should learn English. Americans shouldn't have to learn the language of EVERYONE who MOVES to the United States. That's just crazy.

They know what they're saying.

Or is it simply the fact that you're excluded? Imagine that your entire public life is like that. Really, give it a try.

Maybe then you'll have an idea about why they speak Spanish with each other.

I don't mind those that speak their native language while they are conversing with one another, I do mind when, while doing business they refuse to learn or speak English and make demands that we get them an interpreter! Hog wash,, I say,,you can bite my arss!
