Can someone help me my mouse is double clicking on single clicks even though it's set to open on double click.

The only thing i did was install handwriting recognition recently. The windows help does not help. Its like my mouse has gone crazy. every time i highlight something it opens it. I have it set to double click in the folder options. I even tried to restore my computer but my computer would not restore. I dont have a virus because i dont have internet i'm on my sister's computer. Thanks in advance this is very frustrating!

if u r using windows click start then setting then control pannel then mouse and check the properties thanks...
