Ah, nature v nurture.

I think that it is the way children are brought up that has the biggest influence, certainly for the first 10 years or so. After that, children will begin to form their own judgments, and will all go through a rebellious phase, which is an important part of becoming an individual, but even so, the lessons they learnt early in life will stick with them.

Read some of the studies done on twins separated at birth, they are quite illuminating.

i think that it depends on the way a person is brought up, most children learn how to behave or their view of things at home and then apply them to the public, they would behave differently if they were brought up another way

You can raise your children in a loving and nurturing enviroment and they can turn out to be a model citizen or a serial killer.Everyone has their own mind and this thing called freewill. We can try to bring our children up right but they determine the way that they are not us.

I strongley believe it to be from both. Some things are traits that a child gets from his or her parents and other things stem from the way the parents and others in life have influenced them.
