Depends on what you mean by best. I like Breyers for the home-made taste, Blue Bunny for the variety and special flavors every month, Edy's is good for a quality brand. It really depends on whether you like your ice cream rich, low fat, many flavors, etc. My very favorite is Kemps Northwoods Edition, in the Under the Stars flavor. It's chocolate swirled with lots of peanut butter and has tiny, star-shaped chocolate bits filled with more peanut butter.
