If you have a conscience, steer clear of the JRC. Read the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network's articles on it, and Jennifer Gonnerman's article in Mother Jones. Aversives are wrong, and they also treat some right and okay behaviors (sharing food, tapping on the desk) as wrong. If you think you can go there and make the place better, making the students' lives easier, think again... if you don't follow the evil orders, they will fire you.

I am not sure but I believe the position is the same as a Mental Health Tech. This is a person who runs a unit in order to make sure everything goes well during the shift. They do things like chem sticks, blood pressure, feed patients or bathe them and attend to their needs while keeping order.

A highschool education is a must, and depending on where you want to work some college may be required.

trust me! if you don't know what the job title means, don't apply for the job until you further your education
