So... what kind of fabric is on the furniture on the sofa/couch? Is there a fabric - with those colors in it - on a pillow, throw blanket, or in the curtains that just pops out at you? The best way to make your color scheme work (the reds and purples - which I love!) is to look for a fabric that you can use in the living room on the pillows, rugs, curtains that will help tie it all together. The color you want to paint the living room will be in the fabric that has a pattern using purple and reds. Take the color from there. Remember it's just paint - have fun with it. It's all in the fabric and accessories.

I would say a rich cream color, maybe slightly on the orange/red side. You could even find a roll of that short wallpaper that goes just under the ceiling, a pattern that has the purple from your bathroom and the red from your kitchen. If you're changing the carpet, too, it should be safe to use a darker orange color, but like you said, not bright orange.

Our entire kitchen replaced - actually each little thing however the kitchen sink and firdge became 20,000. I put in Ikea cabinets My spouse is the clothier. We paid adult males to take out the wall between it and the lounge, do away with the plaster, and electrician bumped off all 2 shops that have been there and put in 10 traces, the 1st adult males then insulated, drywalled and sanded it. Then we placed down tongue and groove laminated flooring for about $500 such as glue - all from Ikea. New gas range. I re-framed the domicile windows. Sears put in the dishwasher, plumber re-routed the sink pipes to a distinctive wall and reconnected. multi functional month for about $20,000 such as paint.

Sounds like you'll end up with a rainbow as you go from kitchen to bathroom. I hope they're pastels. (Bright colors in a house tend to hurt your eyes after a while.)
Enjoy !!

have you thought of a sandy tan with a chocolate accent wall, then you could bring in the red/orange whatever with accent furniture or pillows.....
