You can get a grip on whatever needs gripping. The choice is entirely yours. You could start with your sanity. You seem to pick apart and analyze everything one says. How much judgement can you pass in a day. I say you because all of your questions come from the responses of others. So basically, you have turned into the very personality trait that you dislike. Get a grip-------life is not all about you. Have some fun. Live and let live. Gimme a break! wheww

By "get a grip" I assume they mean get a grip on reality.
So, to that end, cast away all your fantastic beliefs and preconcieved biases and focus on seeing the world for what it really is. Use your senses, extend your senses through studying science, and try to use logic in everyday life. That's good advice for all, especially those who are zealously religious.

It means you are metaphorically spinning out of control and you need to get a grip. On reality, on gravity, on graciousness, on peace, on love on hope, on faith, on charity. What you are gripping is faith in God, all else is failure. God bless.
