You don't even notice them unless you're looking really close, that's how small they are. But the skin feals rougher, and it's kind of sensitive.

Check your laundry detergent. My daughter and my step-dad had reactions like that when we were using "Tide". There might be other detergents or soaps that could make someone have an allergic reaction. Try experimenting by eliminating just one soap for a couple days. If no change, eliminate another for a couple days. Then hopefully you will pinpoint the culprit. This includes soaps for laundry, face, bath, etc. Anything you could think of. Good luck.

Wow. I feel for you.

If this is a new reaction, I would try taking antihistamines for allergies. You may never know what caused it, but if the pills work, then do you really need to know?

At one point in my life I had systemic hives...that means hives all over every bit of skin--inside my mouth and nose and everywhere else you can imagine. I was on antihistamines for over two years, and still wanted to tear my skin off from the itch. I found that running an ice cube over the worst of the itch would shut it off for awhile. When I was really suffering I took a hot bath. It stimulated all my skin at once, overwhelming my nerves and shutting down the itch reflex for awhile.

It sounds like you are allergic to either the soap you are using on your face...makeup you are using or moisturizer...you may want to switch to hypoallergenic down the line...makeup, moisturizer and cleanser to see if that helps...and hope it does!
Also one other thing...you may want to see if it is your laundry detergent too...I had an allergic reaction to one I used it it made my elbows red and raw from the sheets...when I switched the irritation went away.
