Qur'an in English??

Question

I'm interested in learning more about Islam. People seem to interpret it all in their own way, and the government and media both have their own perspective that i'm not willing to trust. So, i want to read it for myself. What do i have to know? Is there a good english translation of it that is accurate? Where would i get it?

If you really want to read it, go to www.cair.com. They will send you a free copy - a beautiful, large book with both english and arabic, a full explanation of the texts, and photos. I asked for one and they sent it to me. Be prepared - the book I recieved is about 5 pounds, but it's complete in every way.

I fully Recommend that you try to learn Arabic so you can enjoy the beautiful language of the Quraan..

But for English Quraan you should be aware that there are many copies of translation that doesn't reflect the meaning of the Real Quraan, and many of them are made by Christians or Jewish to disturb the readers...
you must choose your Sucre carefully.

Reading the translation is not enough, cause Islam is based on the Quraan and if you didn't get explanation for what you read you wont be able to understand or worse you may turn to be anti Islam affected with Islamfobia, you should read while you think you are reading a new culture, not something will kill, you have to discharge your self from what you see on TV because it's all lies.

From what I've read, there's not one translation into English that fundamentalist Muslims accept. I just got done reading "Islam for Dummies" and I thought that it was very bi-partisan or vanilla or whatever you want to call it. It really taught me a lot without getting into fundamentalism and the US's stance on it and all that.

Alhamdulllah sister u r on the right path believe me i have nothing but tears for u , May God bless u and teach u the true meaning of Islam. U r absoluty right the media is just showing a propaganda nothing else , read the Quran by ur self. it has every thing in it.

2- no females rights

in Quran Allah say "if u killed one human being it does mean u have killed the whole mankind" so tell me how can a muslim kill other human being like christion. u will read it will get every thing in it
2- they say in islam ther s not any woman's right look , wht s the right for the woman in west , in usa a gang rap, sex nothing else
in which country is the maximum rap cases a day definatly in USA but islam say about womans tht ther s heaven under the feet of your mothers give rights to every one

Pls try to get a translation by Yusuf Ali since most Muslim scolors use that english translations.
