trying to know if i could get them now because mi hair is about 3 inches long, can i do 'em yet?

It needs to be long enough for the hairdresser to grip your hair so 3 inches sounds about right

If the person is good at them then your hair should be long enough. I can cornrow 2 to 2 1/2 in. Just make sure you use something in between them to keep your skin moist esp. if you havent had them before. I cornrowed my daughters hair and didnt put anything between them and her scalp started splitting. Now I use like a grease from the african american hair products in between and it helped tons. You can get it at your local walmart or walgreens. Just dont use to much. A little goes a long way. Good Luck!

well it really depends on who is braiding your hair..... some people can braid hair as short as about 4 1/2 inches I've seen.

and just f.y.i sometimes you should wait for it to grow some because if you get your hair braided at a short length it doesn't always look so nice.

I think that if you where to go to a salon and ask them if it was long enough to get it done, they should be able to do it, at 3
